Beacon Hill is a historic neighborhood located in Boston, Massachusetts. It is directly on the Charles River Waterfront, as well as being slightly North of Boston Common and Boston Public Garden. Beacon Hill has been known as an affluent neighborhood for a very long time, with streets that are constantly recognized as some of the most photographed in the United States. Its style is what attributes to its famous aesthetic, with federal style rowhouses, brick sidewalks and narrow streets.
This neighborhood is known to be beautiful, as mentioned above, but also known as one of the most desirable and expensive neighborhoods in the area. This could be due to the fact than many people in state government live in this area because of the proximity to the Massachusetts State House, as well as the Massachusetts Judicial Supreme Court.
This neighborhood is extremely small, being that it is only about 1/6th of a square mile, but with , it has a lot to offer. Incredible as it is, it even has three different parts, including the North Slope, the South Slope and the Flat of the Hill. It is also home to Suffolk University, amongst a few other institutions. Similarly, there is extremely easy access to the rest of Boston, due to the Red, Green and Blue line, as well as MBTA buses, commuter rails and ferries.
