Arlington, MA

Our team standing outside the Arlington location

Located just 6 miles northwest of Boston, Arlington, MA was first settled in 1635 as a village within Cambridge, MA. Arlington’s original name was the Algonquian word “Menotomy”, meaning swift running water, due to its borders on the Mystic River, Mystic Lakes and Alewife Brook. Within the town lie more bodies of water including the Arlington Reservoir, Hills Pond, and Mill Brook. The name Menotomy was changed to Arlington in 1867, to honor the heroes buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.

Now with a population of about 43,000 residents, the town of Arlington has enough people to become the city of Arlington, but has not done so because it would lose its capacity to hold town meetings.
